My photo-reportage approach

Wedding photojournalism

Our first exchanges

A great wedding story starts with a meeting between a couple and a photographer. Over a cup of coffee, we take the time to get to know each other. We talk about your story, your expectations, your wishes, your budget and, above all, the day's program. I'll also show you my books and prints , and answer any questions you may have. I have a wealth of experience in photojournalism, which I will generously share with you during this meeting. It will give you the best advice for a photo reportage that lives up to your expectations, and much more besides. If the feeling is there and I meet your expectations, we'll discuss in detail a few key notions of the contract. It's mutually binding, especially with regard to copyright and image rights.

The engagement session and preparation for the big day

A pre-wedding couple session, also known as a "commitment session engagement session "is sometimes held a few months or weeks before the big day. In this way, we meet again to take photos and discuss the final details before the wedding. In any case, it's always a few days before the event that we hold the final briefing, at least by telephone. We go over the day's detailed planning and organization from a photographic point of view.

The wedding day

Post-processing and delivery

For each photo I deliver, I carry out rigorous, personalized post-processing according to the requirements of the photo. Cropping, adjusting colorimetry, luminosity and contrast are the minimum actions I perform on the whole image. If necessary, I also rework the image locally. For certain photos, it's sometimes necessary to go even further to sublimate the image, thanks in particular to the world-famous Photoshop software. It's precisely three weeks after the wedding that I deliver my reportage via a private gallery, accessible to you and your guests from my website. You can view, download files, order prints and select photos directly for inclusion in the book. You can also choose to receive your photos in a DVD or USB box.

After the wedding, books, prints and Day-After

If there's a wedding book, the bride and groom choose the photos and I take care of the layout. The aim is to have a complete storytelling of the wedding with your most beautiful photos. It takes 2 months from the selection of photos sent to receive the book.
The "Day After" couple session is another opportunity to get together after the wedding and take new photos. A few examples of this kind of session in Paris are available on the blog. Dressed as the bride and groom, we take the photos that were impossible to take on the big day due to planning, lighting, weather or geography.
And we often meet up again a few months or years later for a pregnancy or newborn session, or for a family portrait!
