Mixed-race wedding at the Maison des Polytechniciens

Traditionally, the off-season always fills up at the last moment for me. January 2018 was no exception when Mejda & Pierre contacted me. From Casablanca where they reside they were organizing their lavish wedding in one of Paris' most beautiful mansions.

La Maison des Polytechniciens is located on rue de Poitier, just off the Seine. I joined the bride in an airbnb apartment rented for the occasion from the start of the preparations and stayed with them until the end of the evening. The couple's session took place on the famous Bir-Hakeim bridge.

The Maison des Polytechniciens has a cellar for the dancefloor, and that's unusual. A hundred guests can hardly fit in there, but the atmosphere is assured. The venue as a whole is sumptuous for a wedding. It has beautiful spaces upstairs where cocktails are usually held, and several lounges to welcome guests for a lay ceremony or dinner. This first 2018 wedding was a vintage one for me from a photo point of view, as several photographs of the evening and the couple's session received awards from the WPJA .
