Couples Engagement on the French Riviera

Dec 18, 2016 | Séance Couple

Every year, I travel all over France to meet brides and grooms and to shoot pre-wedding sessions (engagement sessions) , weddings and day-after sessions. Outside the Ile-de-France region, I most often travel to Burgundy or Normandy, but I also travel to Toulouse, Lyon and the Mediterranean, the Côte d'Azur being one of my favorite destinations.

I shot Marie and Alexandre's engagement session on the beaches of Toulon, just a few months before the wedding, and they treated themselves to a fun, cuddly and romantic moment... and a bit of sport too. They spent a few hours together in the water, getting to know each other, discussing the final preparations for the wedding and, above all, taking photos. I didn't know the place, so it was the bride and groom who chose the beach. A wild beach hidden behind a forest that only the locals knew about.

Early evening light, a sky true to the Côte d'Azur's reputation, a calm sea and an almost deserted beach, it was ideal for a couple's session and a nice way for the 3 of us to meet for the first time with a camera in situation.

Here's an overview:
