Séance Engagement BNF Emilie and Driss

An engagement session in Paris on the BNF website

Organizing a pre-wedding photo session (engagement session) in Paris with your wedding photographer means choosing the city of love and romance, an idyllic setting for capturing those precious moments in a couple's life. The Bibliothèque Nationale de France (BNF) is a landmark of the capital, and with its impressive architecture and cultural atmosphere, the BNF offers the perfect backdrop for an engagement shoot. What's more, the Seine and the bridge linking the esplanade to the Jardin de Bercy offer a romantic setting and the right atmosphere for a beautiful couple's session.

A briefing, photos, complicity and lots of beautiful memories

As with all my engagement sessions, we first met in a nearby café. Over a cup of hot chocolate, we were able to brief each other in detail about the future wedding and get to know each other better. I then guided them through the different areas of the esplanade for the couple session. Sometimes the pose was directed, but often it was natural. The most important thing is that the bride and groom feel at ease and discover my way of working with them and the camera. It also reinforces the complicity and connection between them in front of the photographer. On the wedding day, when you've already done this couple engagement session, things are much simpler and the moments more natural.

Emilie and Driss were married a few weeks later at Château du Taillis in Normandy.
